  • Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness?

    No. Our workouts and exercises scale to any level. CrossFit benefits the eighty-five-year-old grandmother to the morbidly obese. We are here to partner with you in your journey to achieve and maintain fitness excellence.
  • I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit?

    Many individuals have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from minor injuries. Because people continue to move, work, and play in the real world regardless of injury history, we believe the best route to long-term health is to learn perfect form on functional movements, then to slowly build strength in those movements, rather than to avoid them altogether. At the same time, our instructors are always happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities. That said, we cannot offer you specific medical advice, and advise that you consult your physician before starting this (or any other) exercise program.
  • How do I start?

    Schedule a complimentary 1 hour trial workout by joining one of our BootCamp classes.
  • The complimentary fitness assessment and workout was great!!....how do I join as a member?

    First you must complete the On Ramp Series (2 Private 1 Hour Classes)…please contact one of our Coaches for more information.
  • I'm really fit and would like to skip the On Ramp Program and come to the Group Workout of the Day (WOD) class, can I do that?

    No. There are no drop-ins to the Group WOD classes unless you are an experienced CrossFitter. You must complete our On Ramp program (2 Private 1 Hour Classes) before being allowed to take our Group WOD classes.
  • But what if I'm really, really fit and I can swim to Alcatraz and back and then hike Mt Diablo?

    No means no. If you are really, really fit, (which is awesome) we can scale the load and intensity in the workouts in the On Ramp program for you. We promise we can leave you lying on the floor, sore and gasping, even after an On Ramp class.
  • Will CrossFit make me bulky?

  • I'm just visiting Livermore, East Bay but I've been CrossFitting for so long that I do kipping pullups in my sleep. Can I please come to a Group WOD class?

    We welcome experienced CrossFiter’s from all over the world. Just check our class schedule and come in for a Group WOD class. Be sure to let your coach know your level of experience with CrossFit-style training, if you have any limitations or are still at a beginner level. Please note that it's $20 to drop in.
  • I just relocated to Livermore, East Bay, but I've been CrossFitting so long that I named my kids

    We'll need to assess your CrossFit abilities and whether or not you need to complete the On Ramp Program. Unless you've trained extensively at another affiliate and gone through a foundations program similar to our On Ramp to learn all the CrossFit movements thoroughly and effectively, chances are you'll be required by us to go through our On Ramp. Contact one of our coaches for more information and we will get you going.
  • How much does the On Ramp Program cost?

    The On Ramp series is an excellent value for $199 and includes 2, 1 hour private sessions spread over 1 week.......talk with one of our coaches to get started!
  • On Ramp is an excellent value! What's included in the initial cost ?

    Included in the $199 On Ramp cost are 2 Private 1 Hour Classes and 1 month of unlimited Group WOD classes.
  • What if I don't want to join CrossFit 580 but would prefer to strictly work with one of your coaches one-on-one?

    You are more than welcome to do so. Please learn more about our coaches and contact us. Our rates are very competitive and there are series of discounts available for those looking to train long-term with one of our trainers.
