When did you first start training at CrossFit 580?
What is your favorite workout/movement?
Squats, ring rows
Least favorite workout/movement?
Tell us about your fitness and /or lifestyle background?
For the last 20 years, I have done some kind of exercise. Most recently, “running”on my treadmill at home, 4 to 5 days a week. I had been thinking about joining a regular gym again, but knew I wouldn’t push myself just working out on my own.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit 580? Take us back to your first workout…what was it and how did you feel?
My friend at work had been going to CrossFit for about 8 months and was always talking about it so I googled it and found Crossfit580. All the reviews were great so I emailed and Joy called me right away to set-up an appointment. I did the on-ramp then started the classes. I was pretty uncoordinated and out of shape but Coach Steven took the time to explain the moves and made me feel like I could actually do this. Turns out it is not the box my friend goes to, but we still get to share our CrossFit stories:)
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CrossFit 580?
I feel more fit and I definitely see my endurance increasing since I first started.
What changes in your life have you experienced from CrossFit 580 that were totally unexpected?
That I really enjoy going to class and interacting with all of the people and coaches. I was never big on the group participation thing when it came to exercise, but I surprised myself by how much I like it.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit 580 moments:
The day I managed to do a combined total of 50 burpees and didn’t die.
What are you hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit 580?
Reading, movies, wine & food – all reasons why I need to go to CrossFit!
Any advice for people just getting started?
Give it a try, if you think you are in too bad of shape or too uncoordinated, try it anyways, you’ll feel great when you finish!
