CrossFit 580 is a perfect location for anyone in the Livermore, California and East Bay Area! 5,000 square feet of dedicated indoor space and even more outdoor space. We also have three bathrooms and two lounge areas that are kid-friendly, with plenty of free parking. We promise to always provide passionate, experienced coaches while offering individualized training in a small group environment. Our coaches push our members, athletes and community to accomplish things they never thought they could. School vs. Open Gym

We are not just a gym where you pay money to go work out on your own, like some others in the area. We are here to teach you how to be healthy and fit and how to get the results you’re looking for. Our fitness and athletic training requires practice. It’s not easy. Our members are required to use their minds as much as their muscles.

Instructor-Led Training vs. Exercising On Your Own

Every CrossFit 580 group WOD classs is led by an instructor/coach. We don’t just start a clock for you and then walk away while you work out on your own. We teach you how to move your body with proper mechanics, stability, balance, and agility. Our workouts require you to be mentally alert and focused, and will call upon your coordination, agility, strength, speed, endurance, stamina and flexibility. Our members are always under the watchful eye of a coach who ensures full range of motion and orthopedic safety in all movements.

Community vs. Individual

You train as a small group, working towards a common goal. Members support and push each other to achieve things you never thought possible. You share in not only each other’s struggles but also each other’s triumphs. This is at the heart of what makes CrossFit tick and what helps our members succeed in meeting their goals.

Performance vs. Aesthetic

The focus of our classes is on improving your athletic skills and performance. Toning and leaning out is a welcome byproduct of working to develop your strength, power, speed, endurance, and stamina. Train like an athlete to look like an athlete.

Group Fitness Is Fun!

We teach athletic skills that require hard work and lots of practice. This requires our members to be tuned in and fully engaged as they learn new skills, and not mentally checked out in a mind-numbingly boring exercise routine.

They are constantly educating themselves so that they can share with our members the most progressive training and nutrition methodologies and get them the results they desire. Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness?

No. Our workouts and exercises scale to any level. CrossFit benefits the eighty-five-year-old grandmother to the morbidly obese. We are here to partner with you in your journey to achieve and maintain fitness excellence.

I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit?

Many individuals have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from minor injuries. Because people continue to move, work, and play in the real world regardless of injury history, we believe the best route to long-term health is to learn perfect form on functional movements, then to slowly build strength in those movements, rather than to avoid them altogether. At the same time, our instructors are always happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises, to tailor workouts to your abilities. That said, we cannot offer you specific medical advice, and advise that you consult your physician before starting this (or any other) exercise program.

The complementary fitness assessment and workout was great! How do I join as a member?

First you must complete the On Ramp Series (2 Private 1 Hour Classes)… please contact one of our Coaches for more information.

I'm really fit and would like to skip the On Ramp Program and come to the Group Workout of the Day (WOD) class, can I do that?

No. There are no drop-ins to the Group WOD classes unless you are an experienced CrossFitter. You must complete our On Ramp program (2 Private 1 Hour Classes) before being allowed to take our Group WOD classes.

But what if I'm really, really fit and I can swim to Alcatraz and back and then hike Mt. Diablo?

No means no. If you are really, really fit (which is awesome), we can scale the load and intensity in the workouts in the On Ramp program for you. We promise we can leave you lying on the floor, sore and gasping, even after an On Ramp class.

I'm just visiting Livermore, East Bay but I've been CrossFitting for so long that I do kipping pullups in my sleep. Can I please come to a Group WOD Class?

We welcome experienced CrossFitters from all over the world. Just check our class schedule and come in for a Group WOD class. Be sure to let your coach know your level of experience with CrossFit-style training, if you have any limitations or are still at a beginner level. Please note that it’s $20 to drop in.

Will CrossFit make me bulky?

I just relocated to Livermore, East Bay, but I've been CrossFitting so long that I named my kids.

We’ll need to assess your CrossFit abilities and whether or not you need to complete the On Ramp Program. Unless you’ve trained extensively at another affiliate and gone through a foundations program similar to our On Ramp to learn all the CrossFit movements thoroughly and effectively, chances are you’ll be required by us to go through our On Ramp. Contact one of our coaches for more information and we will get you going.

How much does the On Ramp Program cost?

The On Ramp series is an excellent value for $225 and includes 2 1 hour private sessions spread over 1 week… talk with one of our coaches to get started!

Included in the $225 On Ramp cost are 2 Private 1 Hour Classes and 1 month of unlimited Group WOD classes.

What if I don't want to join CrossFit 580 but would prefer to strictly work with one of your coaches one-on-one?

You are more than welcome to do so. Please learn more about our coaches and contact us. Our rates are very competitive and there are series of discounts available for those looking to train long-term with one of our trainers.
