Tell us about your fitness/lifestyle background:
I grew up my entire life playing baseball and soccer so was always in good shape but never really worked out at gym. I did a weights class in high school but that was really my only time doing some of the Olympic lifting we do.
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit 580:
Started going to a bootcamp style gym toward the end of 2016 and saw lots of positive changes rather quickly and eventually wanted to move on to something a little more challenging. My buddy Kyle mentioned we should try CrossFit 580 so we went to the onboarded class and have been coming ever since.
What have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CrossFit580 (before/after)?
Just starting CrossFit, there are lots of movements that take time to learn and get used to. I was not able to do pull ups, double unders, snatches and probably many other movements but these are all things I can do today. I continue to set new PRs which shows great improvements in my strength.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit 580 moments:
Participating in the Open was a great time. It brings out the competitive spirit in you and really gives you goals on what to improve on for the coming year. The workouts kick your butt but having everyone there pushing everyone to do their best is great.
Any advice for people just getting started?
Don’t be intimidated by the CrossFit name and what you have seen about it before. It is a great workout/atmosphere that you will learn to enjoy. You will always be sore but that helps you know it was a good workout which keeps you coming back
